It ushers you into Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park for gorilla trekking and Serengeti National Park for game viewing. Your trip commences from Arusha Tanzania and ends in Kigali Rwanda.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
Have breakfast early in the morning and after, ensure that you everything you need for your 7 days Serengeti wildlife and Rwanda gorillas. Later, begin a 7 to 8 hours’ journey with lunch break enroute.
Serengeti National Park is one of the most endowed parks in Tanzania with diversity of wildlife ranging from hyenas, giraffes, cheetahs, wildebeests, gazelles, buffaloes, antelopes and birds, majority of these can easily be spotted on a game drive.
Day 2: Game drive
Have your leisurely breakfast and later, expect to have the whole day game drive. Since it is a lengthy day of exploration, you will have picnic lunch and then you proceed spotting variety of wildlife. The different wildlife to expect to sight range from giraffes, antelopes, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, lions, elephants, birds among others. Dinner will be served at the lodge where you will spend a night.
Day 3: Drive from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, drive through Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Ngorongoro Crater where you will embark on a game drive. Picnic lunch will be had in the wild then you proceed with a game drive with a chance to see lions, cheetahs, antelopes, rhinos, birds and others. In the afternoon, don’t miss the exciting entertainment from the Maasai in their community.
Day 4: Leave Ngorongoro Crater for Tarangire National Park then back to Arusha
After your cup of tea, drive to Tarangire National Park about 2-3 hours’ road trip. Go for a game drive to enjoy amazing view of wildlife like buffaloes, zebras, leopards, antelopes, lions, elephants, birds to mention but a few. After 2-3 hours of wildlife viewing, have a picnic lunch break and later, get back to Arusha for overnight say in a hotel.
Day 5: Leave Arusha for Kigali – Rwanda
Rise up early in the morning and be served with a delicious breakfast. Later, have your luggage ready for drop off to Arusha Airport where you will fly to Kigali Airport. Meet your guide waiting at Kigali Airport for transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Lunch break will be had in Kigali before embarking on 2-3 hours’ drive to Ruhengeri.
Day 6: Tracking mountain gorillas
You will be offered breakfast at the lodge and after, get to Kinigi for briefing, allocation of gorilla family and park guide. At 8:00am, ensure you are well-prepared for actual gorilla trek that lasts for 2-6 hours. You will spend only 1 hour once you have come across mountain gorillas, take photos and return to the lodge.
In the evening, you will be ushered into cultural encounter in Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village then get back to have a relaxed dinner and a comfortable stay in the lodge that was reserved for you.
Day 7: Drive back from Ruhengeri/Musanze to Kigali
Have a leisurely breakfast and then make a return trip to Kigali 2-3 hours’ drive. You will be dropped to Kigali Airport or at a hotel.
